In this highly, imaginative tale, the world is partially populated by various species of Elves who are not only shunned by Humans but are being persecuted and slaughtered by the powerful madman ‘Shadow.’ Originally treated as Human equals, the law is rewritten making all elves inferior, to be treated as slaves.
Although the essence of the novel is about an attempt to massacre an entire race, J.B. Hoel has also portrayed emotions of friendship, loyalty and love that survive even in desperate times. He has detailed his multitude of characters, magical spells and constant battles with vivid description and the reader should not expect to be able to follow the story without reading it with just as much attention.
